• This picture is lovely.  I’m very fond of scenes like this where the sun is to your back but in front of you you have menacing clouds and a scene that looks oddly illuminated. Nice capture.

• Sometimes it’s just a matter of being at the right place at the right time.  I had gone into downtown Santa Fe to try to catch the sunset light on some of the buildings I had seen earlier that day.  This thunderstorm moved through, chasing us indoors.  As soon as the rain let up I went out and the sun broke through.  I spent the next 20 minutes literally running from one place to another trying to catch the light.  Five minutes after this shot a double rainbow appeared from horizon to horizon.  The sun set 15 minutes later.
